Chicken Sausage Lasagna







1 1/2 Jars spaghetti sauce
1 box lasagna noodles ( no cook)
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb Chicken sausage (casings removed)
1 lb mozzarella cheese $3.50
1 lb ricotta cheese (fresh from deli)
2 eggs
Salt and pepper to taste



*Preheat oven to 375 degrees*


Pour 1 table spoon of olive oil into pan, add 1 tbsp garlic let cook for about 1 minute.  
Combine sausage,salt and pepper to garlic. Brown sausage, stir in sauce and simmer for 12-15 minutes. 

In a large bowl mix ricotta cheese, 2 eggs,1 tbsp oregano and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella. Lightly salt and pepper. 


To assemble, spread 1/4 of meat sauce on the bottom of a lightly greased lasagna pan.Layer lasagna noodles, spread ricotta mixture onto noodles, top with sauce and lightly sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.Repeat 3-4 layers.Top layer sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese,oregano and cover with foil.

Place into oven and cook covered for 55 minutes. Remove foil and cook for additional 5 minutes.

  1. That looks so scrumptious my mouth is nearly watering now. I'm excited to try your recipe and try it with my favorite wine. I'll buy gourmet hot chili sauce soon to match this.
